“What a great experience with incredible results! I come from the Bay Area to get laser treatment done here. The office staff is amazing and very attentive. Leah Salazar is professional, extremely knowledgable and makes you feel very comfortable. What I really appreciated about her is she takes the time to answer any questions you may have and doesn’t make you feel rushed. I really appreciated how she went over the after care directions and explained what to expect over the next few days. I 100% recommend Leah Salazar and will definitely continue going to this office. Almost forgot, make sure you try the relaxation room with the massage chairs!”

On the day of your consultation, please set aside approximately one hour to meet with with one our expert providers for a one on one personalized evaluation. You will be encouraged to discuss all of your concerns and goals. Next, if determined you are a candidate for Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement, you will have the option to receive treatment utilizing the Virden Method ™.

Bio-Identical Testosterone is made from wild yam. This plant has the highest concentration of hormone of any other substance.  Pellets are placed in the upper buttock area, just below the belt line, and the left and right sides are alternated each time. Numbing medication is used, a small incision is made, and hormone pellets are placed in the fat tissue using a trocar. The insertion procedure is well tolerated.

Pellets absorb based on cardiac output (the amount of blood the heart pumps through the body in a minute). Each individual is different dependent on activity level, etc. Typically, younger individuals who are competitive athletes will absorb Bio-Identical Hormone pellets at a faster rate. For male patients, Bio-Identical Hormone treatment improves symptoms for approximately 4 to 6 months and 3 to 5 months for female patients.

After your initial appointment, another set of labs will be repeated to ensure your hormone levels are therapeutic. This is completed 4 weeks after initial implant for males, and 6 weeks after initial implant for females. Lab work is then repeated annually, unless more in depth monitoring is required.
